Communicate with you alone. Email is kept private and we do not sell, rent or disclose your email address to other companies. Make sure you enter a correct email address because:
    a) If you forget your password, it's the only way we can send you a new one.
    b) Your friends that know your email address can use it to search for you.
    c) You can choose to receive email notifications when you receive new video messages.

» Can I save a recorded conversation and upload it to a website?

» When can I send a video message?

» Can I send a video message to more than one person?

No, the video message can be sent to your friend’s e-mail and s/he can view it without having ooVoo installed.

» Can I preview my video message before sending it?

Yes. Just click ‘Play’ to preview your message before sending, so you look and sound exactly the way you want.

» Can I edit my video message before sending it?

You can re-record your video message as many times as you would like to before you send it out.

» How long can my message be?

Record up to 1 minute per message with the free ooVoo STANDARD option, or up to 5 minutes per message with ooVoo SUPER.

» Can anyone initiate a multiparty video call?

Yes. Anyone who uses ooVoo can initiate a multiparty video conversation. And of course, it's free.

» Can anyone in the call invite more people to a meeting?

Yes. All participants can invite other people to participate.

» Is it possible to call a regular telephone?

Yes, you can call regular telephones and cell phones in the United States and Canada from ooVoo. It’s possible to have an ooVoo call with up to 6 phone participants and 6 ooVoo participants.

» Can I participate in a video conversation without a camera?

Yes. You will be able to see other people but they will only hear you.

» How can I increase my microphone volume so people can hear me better?

Use the microphone volume slider in the ooVoo video conversation window to adjust your microphone volume.
Tip: Make sure the volume control on your headset is not set to its lowest level or muted.

» How can I increase my speaker volume so I can hear better?

Use the speaker volume slider in the ooVoo video conversation window to adjust your speaker volume.

» What if I am in the middle of a call and need to close my video quickly?

Just click ‘Stop Camera’ anytime you want to stop the camera.

» How can I mute myself during a call?

If you are in the middle of a call and your roommate barges in to relay highlights from last night's exploits, click ‘Mute Microphone’ in the ooVoo video conversation window.

» I've installed ooVoo but have no one to talk to, what should I do?

Add a friend if you know their ooVoo ID or display name, or try to find them using the search feature. If not, send invitations to your friends. You can even import your e-mail contacts. ooVoo is free, so share it with everyone you know.

» What do I do if I forget my password?

Simply click ‘Forgot your password’ and enter the same e-mail address you registered with and your password will be sent to you.

» How can I use an ooVoo link in my Microsoft Outlook e-mail signature?

Click Your ooVoo link. Fill-in the fields and make sure that 'E-mail signature' is selected and click 'Save to disk'.

Microsoft Outlook 2003: Select ‘Options’ from the ‘Tools’ menu. Click on the ‘Mail format’ tab and click 'Signatures'. Click ‘New’. Select the ‘Use this file as a template’ option and select your ooVoo link which you just saved.

Outlook 2007: Open the saved file, select your signature objects and copy them. Select 'Options' from the ‘Tools’ menu, click on the 'Mail format' tab and click 'Signature'. Create a new signature and paste the objects into the signature window.

» What do I need to use ooVoo?

No, you can participate in ooVoo calls without a camera but we highly recommend that you use one in order to fully experience ooVoo. You can purchase a webcam or headset at the ooVoo Store.

» Do I need to have a headset?

No, you can speak using a microphone and speakers but we highly recommend that you use a headset to avoid background noise. A headset allows you to fully appreciate the audio quality of ooVoo.

» What if I'm behind a firewall or a NAT?

Firewalls and NATs are security devices (sometimes used at work or home offices) that can make it difficult to send sound and video directly over the internet. ooVoo's is able to bypass most of these devices. » Do I need to have broadband Internet access?

ooVoo can operate at very low bandwidth, but a video conversation requires a broadband connection. It is still possible to send a video message, chat, and to send files using a slow dial-up connection.
